Camp Merrywood

A Traditional Day Camp Experience!
Located in Pittsgrove Township, our Camp Merrywood is an 80 acre campground that is the perfect location for teens to have fun, socialize, learn new skills and enjoy the outdoors. At Camp Merrywood we make sure to emphasize the importance of nature and taking time to step away from the "electronic lifestyle," there are no cell phones, ipods/mp3 players, video games, laptops, etc. out at camp! Our focus is on having fun through daily activities lead by trained staff, healthy social interaction between all campers and new skills that can help them grow and create a healthy lifestyle.

Themes for the summer:
Week 1: Summer Blast Off - Kick off your sumemr at the Y! Blast into fun with swimming, art, songs, and activities.
Week 2: Color Wars - Enjoy a week long competition to earn points for your color and learn more about respect, responsibility, caring and honesty!
Week 3: America Rocks - Celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave! We will be bringing in the 4th "Y" style.
Week 4: Great Outdoors - Enjoy mother nature's beauty as you step outside at our gorgeous 80 acre camp ground.
Week 5: Around the USA - Grab your gear as we go on an adventure around our great country!
Week 6: Reality Week - Try not to get voted off the Merrywood Island as we take part in an amazing race!
Week 7: Summer Luau - Relax and go on vacation at the Y! Enjoy our week long luau at Merrywood! Tubing, kayaking, swimming!
Week 8: Merrywood's Got Talent - Think you have what it takes? Think you have talent? Well then step right up and show us!
Week 9: Wild West Week - Put your boots on and grab your horses. We are going to take you on an adventure into the wild west!
Week 10: Y Spirit Week - Celebrate our four values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility as we say good-bye to another fun-filled summer. We will wrap-up summer with a week long reflection of the fun we had and revisit some of our favorite competitions!
