The Vineland YMCA has the following positions available:
Water Fitness Instructor
Hours: Early morning and evening hours available
Duties/Responsibilities: To contribute to the well-being of YMCA members by leading them through safe and productive exercises in a water fitness class following Y Aquatic and Water Fitness guidelines. Keep swimmers safe and free from hard. Perform water rescue of pool patrons as needed. Administer frist aid to victims of accidents, injury or sudden illness and initiate the pool's emergency action plan. Elicit compliance with or enforce pool ordinances and rules. Teach swim classes and individual aquatic sports. Must be team oriented and very reliable. Good communication skills are required.
Experience Needed for Job: Applicant must have energetic positive attitude, recent experience teaching group exercise (water preferred). Water/Aquatic group fitness certification strongly desired or willingness to obtain and is required at a later date.
Specific Training Desired: Exercise physiology and exercise instruction experience preferred, but will train the right candidate. Must hold a current CPR/AED & First Aid certification; lifeguard certification preferred.

Swim Instructor
Hours: Part-time

Experience Needed for Job: Applicant must have recent experience teaching swim lessons. Must hold a current CPR/AED & First Aid;lifeguard certification a plus and will be required at a latter date. Must be team oriented, very reliable, great with kids and responsible.
