Our Healthy Living and Signature Programs Coordinator, Pam, is excited to share that we are through our first two weeks of our newest Diabetes Prevention class! In the first week, participants received a basic introduction to the program and how to reach their new lifestyle balance through eating and physical activity. They also calculated their 7% weight loss and how to track their food intake successfully. Week two participants learned how to be a “Fat Detective” and find how many fat grams are allowed in their daily intake. Also reviewed was learning how to properly read food labels. Calorie King books were handed out to assist with tracking food.
