Water Exercise Classes
The Y offers a variety of water exercise classes that assist senior adults in exercising without putting to much stress on the body. All water exercise classes are 8 weeks long. Y facility members may take one water exercise class, per session, for free (unless otherwise noted). Program members would pay the program member price.
Morning Aqua Fit
Mild cardio class building strength and endurance without putting undue stress on delicate joints. This class provides a way to boost your heart rate while still feeling comfortable in the shallow end and works on increasing strength and balance.

Deep Water Workout
High intensity workout including core strength and flexibility focus using a flotation belt. Thsi class provides a non-impact workout that help improve circulation while the water's resistance enables you to build resistance for a total body workout. Must be comfortable in deep water

Joint Freedom (Arthritis Plus)
Work all of your joints with the freedome and support of the water. This class provides light-mild cardio and works on increasing strength and balance. We will be using equipment for light resistance exercises in this class.

$Smooth Moves
Combination of a shallow and deep water workout that produces little to no impact to the body. This class works on increasing muscle flexibility and balance. Smooth Moves was developed by the National Multiple Sclerosis Socity. Participants must provide doctor's consent form.

Ages 65+
Swimming is one of the best exercises for seniors. It is safe and easy on the body, allowing people to move their bodies without bearing their weight. It can provide a complete workout improving: cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, posture, balance, stress and more. Swimming can also increase muscle strength, ease muscle tension and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Senior Swim is time we set aside especially for seniors 65 and older. We set aside one part of the pool for lap swimming, and leave the rest of the pool available for less structured swimming and exercise.

Must be at least a program member
