We believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for life. At the Y, children and teens learn values and positive behaviors that makes for confident kids today and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

School Age Care - Before and After School Program

The YMCA Before and After School programs at the YMCA and 8 Vineland Public Elementary schools promote the emotional growth of your child in an environment that is educationally stimulating. Our program provides children and parents a safe, enriching, dependable and affordable before and after school experience. We offer activities constructed around the Y character values of caring, honest, respect and responsibility to assist in building positive and strong foundation within your child. Positive interactions between children and adults are emphasized. Children will participate in homework time, craft activities, 4-H Science and Technology program and the YMCA’s Healthy U program sponsored by the program promotes nutrition education, noncompetitive physical education, improve self-esteem and strong involvement.

*We continue to operate during half day schedules, as well as delayed openings and early dismissals due to the weather.  The program is licensed through the State of New Jersey. Prior to hiring, all staff must meet a rigorous background investigation. All staff are trained and experienced.  

At the Vineland Elementary Schools: Before and After Care at the Vineland Elementary Schools is operated from 7am to 6pm with options for services before school, after school or both. Enrollment and fees are on a monthly basis. Registration and payments are done at the YMCA. Participating schools are: Johnstone, Sabater, Barse, D’Ippolito, Durand, Mennies, Petway and Winslow. 

At the YMCA:The program operates from 6:30am to 5:30pm. Enrollment is on a monthly basis. Cost: $165.00
