Friday, November 11 may be your best evening to take your fitness to a new level. That night, the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA is hosting a DrumFIT and Zumbathon event that is open to the community. It will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Y’s Riggins Room. It will feature a longtime favorite, Zumba, plus a cardio exercise that is new to many, drumming.
There will be a drawing for a door prize, and light refreshments will be offered after the event. Fee-waived Child Watch care will also be available for participants who reserve a place for their youngsters. This care is for children aged two to ten and is set for 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
This event is a fundraiser for the Y’s Healthy Living department. The fee for community members is $25.00 per person. YMCA facility and program members can register for $20.00 until November 6 and for $25.00 thereafter.
